      Guest who's posting next! AGAIN!!
    Posted by: Great Rumbler - 21st February 2005, 8:12 PM - Forum: Ramble City - Replies (45)

To counteract the flood of real-information posts in my other game thread, we'll start up, once again, the grand Tendocity tradition of guessing who will post next! Answers must be in the form of someone who actually is a member of TC!!

    ABF will post next!

The "Post Something Relevant Game" Thread
    Posted by: Great Rumbler - 21st February 2005, 8:09 PM - Forum: Ramble City - Replies (13)

Well, since some of our members have been complaining that most of our posts here at Tendocity consist mainly of a single smillie or "..." I felt that it necessary for a thread to be made wherein all of us can come together and play the Post Something Relevant Game! The object is to post something relevant, or at least connected, to what the previous poster talked about. What you post can be a news article, an editorial, a spreadsheat, a list, or something you made up. Just make it relevant!!

    Example:

Poster 1: Apples are a type of fruit.

Poster 2: Orange harvests in Florida have been down because of the huricanes.

Poster 3: There are many tornados in Oklahoma.

Apple, Fruit - Orange, Fruit : Huricane, storm - Tornados, storm

See? It's so easy! I'll start out:

A marketing campaign to portray Fayetteville as America's most patriotic city suggests daily parades, tax breaks for flag-wavers and requiring all restaurants to serve apple pie.

Live in Japan? Well then you can download music, games, and movies to your GBA or DS!
    Posted by: Great Rumbler - 21st February 2005, 3:45 PM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (7)

Quote:Nintendo's new Play Yan media player, which allows you to play music and movies on your GBA or DS, launched in Japan today. Alongside it, Nintendo unveiled a new section of the Play Yan site, featuring downloadable "Garage Games" for the device, which communicates with your PC via Panasonic SD cards. The first game available is Insect, and a new game will be unveiled each week, for a total of twelve games. A thirteenth game is available to Japanese Club Nintendo members.

So when are we going to see something like this in the States?

      V-Pocket and a PDA OS
    Posted by: Great Rumbler - 21st February 2005, 3:42 PM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (3)

So what does it all mean? I have no idea, but I'm guessing that Nintendo probably does.

Quote:Nintendo licensed Palm OS based PDA software recently but did not say why. This is related to Nintendo patenting the "V Pocket". This is assumed to help the DS become more like a PDA to help it compete with the PSP. We will have to wait till E3 for more information to roll around.

If they're going to take the DS online, they'd better do it sooner rather than later.

So bust out the bubbly and PAAAAR-TAY!!

Please look forward to future awesome games from my company!

      Some great-looking PSP screens
    Posted by: OB1 - 18th February 2005, 2:59 PM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (48)

I can't wait to get my hands on this system. And to think that a Sony game system launch would have so many high-quality games available at launch. Compare that to the DS which in so many months has barely a handful of games worth paying $30-40 for. I really hope Nintendo doesn't fall too far behind Sony, I really do.

    Anyway, on to the screens!

I think I'll be getting Wipeout, MG Acid, and Lumines at launch. If I can afford them.

The cry-baby thread for people annoyed by mine and GR's sticky thread

For those of you girls that are crying like little fucking babies, this thread is in Ramble because it makes thing easier to access, and it's just for mine and GR's stuff since we make images so damn often and the attach images thread is too full. I'm going to delete this post tomorrow, as well as all of your little whiny posts.

Zelda GC finished?? And more FS DS info
    Posted by: OB1 - 18th February 2005, 10:14 AM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (39)

According to jeux-france is it! http://www.jeux-france.com/news8581_zeld...ecube.html

Quote: In an Interview granted to Libération, Eiji Aonuma de Nintendo, which in particular took part in the development of many shutters of the Zelda series, reveals some very interesting information concerning next Zelda on GameCube and Nintendo DS.

Eiji Aonuma (Nintendo) 'There will be without any doubt Zelda for the DS. In fact, you appear that the reflexions which we developed around Four Swords largely contributed to the reflexion which we had to conceive the DS. The concepts with work in Four Swords formed part of the examples that we experienced while thinking on the possible plays for the DS and the advantages that the double screen allows. It was theoretical but today, it would be very a shame, and even ashamed, that one does not make the opposite demonstration: a truth good Zelda on DS. The next episode of Zelda conceived for GameCube is already completed but I can absolutely nothing say some moreover. You know the house: even the title and the topic are still secret. This next large Zelda, which makes continuation with the WindWaker episode chronologically, will leave to Japan at at the end of 2005. I am engaged to 200 % in his development and I can betray one secrecy of it: it will be very, very beautiful.'

    <!-- , --> <!-- END TEMPLATE: bbcode_quote -->
Holy fuck if true. Would Nintendo really wait until the end of the year to release it though? It would sell well no matter what time of the year it's released, but perhaps they don't have anything else for the holiday season? Although... if Mario 128 and Mario Kart Arcade get released for the GC by the holiday season, perhaps we'll be getting the new GC Zelda sooner than we expected! WOO!!!

Oh and notice that he said that this new Zelda takes places right after WW. That would be cool if true.
