Soul Caliber II screenshots are at PGC...from the GC version no less...AND IT HAS LINK! and he looks way badass...you know, like the way he should have looked in the GCN version...
Thanks to Ookii of the Working Designs Forums, we've caught wind of the possibility of a new Castlevania game in development for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance, subtitled Aria of Sorrow. The game actually has a North American ship date of may 6, 2003, which we find hard to believe, but the rumblings of a new game in the vein of Circle of the Moon and Harmony of Dissonance seem to be truthful.
On top of that, Konami is holding a press conference this coming thursday to unveil their line-up for 2003. Rumors indicate that the company might he showing their long-rumored PlayStation 2 game in the Castlevania series.
Certainly, all this will be cleared up in just a few days. None of this has been ANNOUNCED or CONFIRMED at this time, but action fans definitely have something to look forward to. Trust us.
UPDATED! - Just a quick update here, but it seems that Konami of Japan has already trademarked the name "Aria of Sorrow." Obviously, it seems like there's definitely something cooking here. We'll keep you informed, so keep checking back!
I don't visit IGN regularly. In fact at most I visited the site maybe three times in months. I know the site went with the Insider crap so they could make cash for the costs of maintaining the site. Apparently the AD revenues were not satisfactory because visitors were not clicking on them. I can understand the Insider thing, but why in the freakin hell does the site have to be littered with even more ads than before if it isn't making them much money? Mind you the ads from years ago were banner ads which I can take. I just don't understand how including pop-ups, full page ads, flash and flash ads that appear over articles are suppose to help them make any more money. Do people click on them now that they are more obnoxious than ever? Flash is the new cancer of the internet. The ads for movies and whatever have become so annoying with the included noises and crap. It annoys me.
Btw, anyone visit gameforms? I used to visit The GIA almost daily. It was like the best site on the internet. Can someone explain why the new site gets 10x less the updates if Gameforms is a combination of two sites? ^_-
I always thought a game like Mario Party should be made portable. Now it has, but in a different way than I expected. It uses the awesome new technology of....um...reading dots on a series of cards...
Anyway, I might just end up getting an e-Reader now (I was avoiding it because it just felt like a cheap, well actually expensive, gimick, in fact it still does, but that's the only way to play this game so...). There is one advantage to using this deck of 60 or so cards over using a cartridge, and that's expandability. I wonder how well using a card game as the medium for the mini-game will work over the board game medium. In fact, I certainly wonder exactly how the card game portion of it will play out. It's certainly an original thing, unlike the last 3 Mario Party games, so that's refreshing. Who knows? The e-Reader could indeed be less gimicky than first thought. It's certainly not a ROB anyway.
Now remember how the legendary Virginity thread worked. We don't really talk about virginity, more like everything but. Also, the topic is required to drastically change about every 5 or so posts. GO!
Decide now, what should we call PC style adventure games (puzzlers where you wander the land finding the right item and the right ways to use them, with people like Guybrush Threepwood), and console style adventure games (puzzlers where you wander the land finding the right item and the right way to use it, but in a different style completely, with guys like Link). Should we call one a Quest genre game from now on, or the other?
It's being ported to GC, XBox, and PC, with extras. The XBox and PS2 get extra multiplayer maps and character models, and the GC gets "enhanced" graphics that'll better suit the GC... whatever that means. I just played the PS2 version at a friend's house, and it was very fun. The Geo-Mod stuff isn't as gimmicky as it was in the first RF, and it's really fun to just blow crap up. I don't know about weapons or stuff, because it didn't matter. It was great fun to just shoot each other.
The biggest drawback was the six character max. That means max four humans and two bots. I really hope they're able to get past that, because it's really limiting; especially in comparison to something like TS2, what with like 12 people.
I've adjusted to the PS2 controller, and I think it's best for a shooter. I may buy a PlayCube adapter and a DS2 just for TS2 and Red Faction. Or hey, maybe just a PS2 so I could play GTA3.
May God have mercy on the gaming industry if he's elected.

Yeah, so like, one day, I woke up and said, "Boy, I sure would like to play Hack and Dojo Dan again since my Dad got rid of our awesome cult computer for a PC clone." I never slept again. :snow:
