Alright I've come up with a new game, and even though it's cutting it a bit too close, I'm bored so give cares. I call it "GUESS WHAT'S GONNA BE SHOWN AT E3 WOOT!!" and the person who gets the most specific stuff right (and that means stuff that isn't definite, so you won't get any points for saying that MP2 will be playable) wins a prize*. You can of course include the obvious stuff for completion's sake, but remember that you won't get points for it. You can make as many predictions as you want to, but you'll lose points if you get some wrong. We'll find out who the winner is after E3 is over. So to begin, here are my predictions:
Nintendo:
-Wind Waker 2 given a new title and will be playable, and given a March 2005 U.S. release date
-A new Mario platformer will be shown in video form and announced as a q2 2005 release
-Nintendo's big surprise game will be an RPG that takes place in the Nintendo universe, kinda like Kingdom Hearts (not my original idea, but it's a great one)
-Nintendo will show off a new Mario and Zelda game for the DS. The Mario game will temporarily be referred to as Super Mario Bros. 4 and be the first original side scrolling Mario platformer since Mario Land 2. It'll use a 3D engine but will be side-scrolling.
-Kid Icarus will be shown for the DS or GC
-The DS will steal the show, and show how Nintendo is ready to seriously compete with the PSP.
-The DS games will look much better than N64-quality titles, but not quite as nice as Sony's PSP games.
-Nintendo will talk a lot about DS-GC connectivity but will not make it the focus of their presentation
Sony:
-The PSP will be given a price point, and it will not be over $300
-FFVII-2 will be shown for the PSP
-Rockstar will announce, but not show a GTA game for the PSP
-NICO will be playable and given a November 2004 release date
Microsoft:
-New Live features will be announced
-Halo 2 will be playable in multiplayer only
Sega:
-Will announce a short-term exclusivity agreement with Nintendo
-They will show off a new game being developed by Yuji Naka and Shigeru Miyamoto
-Will mention that Shenmue III is in development, but won't say anything beyond that
-Chu Chu Rocket 2 will be shown for the DS and will make the best use of it out of any other third-party DS title
Michael Moore charged my university $18,000 an hour for two hours of speaking at an assembly. Today, in my history class, I finally concluded seeing 'Bowling for Columbine'. I invite opinions on this guy; pro or cons, and what we think of his biased, liberal approach to solving America's gun problems.
You guys must get this game. It's really really good. Much more dialogue than the original one... better graphics... great story... more characters.. if you don't know what I'm talking about go look for it on ign or something! I'm too lazy to post a link because I'm going to go play it.
Seriously. Is it no longer fun to visit this place for any of you? I know it is for me. I really can't stand getting into arguments with ABF and DJ on such a constant basis, and I really fucking hate the two of them most of the time. Maybe it's their fault, maybe it's my fault, or maybe both. I don't know. All I know is that Tendo City is rarely fun for me anymore, and I think that's got to change. I think we need to stop with the constant conflict and try to maintain peace. Impossible? Maybe, but it's worth a shot I say. The only reason I've been posting here since 1999 is because I love video games and want to talk about them with fellow video game dorks, but you can't really get that anywhere on the internet anymore. Go to any major gaming forum, ign, gaming-age, whatever, and all people do is bitch and fight. Since this is a much smaller community I think it might be possible to put an end to it, if all of you assholes (j/k) agree to have a truce. Certain people here get on my nerves, so I'm not as nice as I could be to them. But if they don't act nice it's tough for me to do the same.
This thread is not about finger pointing, so I don't want to hear any "it's your fault" crap here. Let's just discuss what you think can or should be done with Tendo City, and if you agree or disagree with my idea. I could just leave this forum altogether, but I don't like to quit when I think something can be done.
There was this guy playing an SP in the street and then there was this cool music and then there was Mario stuff and then, and then there was Samus and then it was all cool and everything and then they showed that "Who Are You?" thing and then a second of Zero Mission and then I went "Wow that was cool for a Nintendo commercial!" and was all happy until I thought "Why the fuck can't Gamecube commercials be this good?" and then I remembered that Nintendo is dumb when it comes to non-portable stuff.
