In an effort to stretch the thread out horrizontally, I'll include the full side image. :p
I like the 2.7 billion polys per second figure. Hahahaha! I'm sure this guy just copied the GameCube specs form the Ultimate GameCube FAQ and bumped the numbers a bunch.
Last E3 we all knew what to expect from Nintendo, but this year Nintendo hasn't announced any major fall/winter titles, so I expect a lot of surprises. As Fran said in a recent Insider mailbag, what has the Luigi's Mansion team been up to? What about the Wind Waker team? The Mario Sunshine team? Here's what I expect to find:
-Pikmin 2. This has been hinted at for so long and I just know that Nintendo will show it at this year's E3. possibility: 80%
-Mario Kart. FMV of this game was shown eons ago at Spaceworld, so I expect to hear and see something about it at E3. It could also be Nintendo's big online title, if they're smart enough to do something about it. possibility: 80%
-Animal Crossing 2/Online. The game has already been confirmed, and all Nintendo needs to do to make it a huge seller is add an online mode and make a few enhancements. possibility: 80%
-New Factor 5 game. I hope they don't wait until E3 to show it, but whatever the case is I'm sure we'll hear about it by then. What will it be? Rogue Leader 2? I'm sure it'll be Star Wars something.possibility: 99%
-Too Human/New Silicon Knights game. Rumor has it that Too Human has been scrapped in favor of another project, but I sincerely hope that's not true. ED didn't sell very well but it would probably be easy to make a sequel to it, so perhaps we'll get another one. I'm hoping for either Too Human or an original title. possibility: 70%
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen: Finally Legal!! "You know you want this game! From the creators of BMX XXX comes a new kind of Olsen Twins game, and we can do whatever we want to now that they're of legal age. This is gonna be off tha' hook!!" possibility: 0.00%
Is it possible that a minute of live news can turn an average man into an instant celebrity? As in the case of Bubb Rubb, yes it is.
Two weeks after discussing a piece of metal that is added to muffles to make them whistle Bubb Rubb has since gained a following of several thousand people! Songs and flashvideos have been made about him!
A new poll has been posted at Nintendo.com since Jessica Alba took the honors for fan's choice to play the role of Samus in the upcoming Metroid film. This time, Nintendo asks which game of four Japan-only titles we would like localized:
Nintendo Puzzle Collection
GIFTPIA
Fire Emblem
Legend of Stafi
Nintendo Puzzle Collection is a compilation of classic Nintendo Puzzle games including Dr. Mario, Yoshi's Cookie, and Panel de Pon.
GIFTPIA is a collaboration between Nintendo and Skip Ltd (housing two of the creators of Chrono Trigger). The game is a non-traditional RPG focused on a boy coming of age.
Fire Emblem is most likely referring to the announced GBA entry into the Japan-only RPG series. Roy and Marth, characters in Super Smash Bros: Melee, originated in Fire Emblem
And finally, Legend of Stafi. A GBA title deemed to the action genre by IGN, follows the adventure of one of Nintendo's newest characters, a starfish.

This is our chance to let Nintendo know that we really want them to release Fire Emblem in the states!
Edit: Fire Emblem is currently leading at 75%! Woo!
Quote:Miyamoto wants new Zelda...
Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo's design guru who has been responsible for series like Mario and Zelda, stated in the newest issue of Famitsu that he hopes to produce a new game in the Zelda series this year, as well as original episodes in the Mario and Pikmin franchises. The latter two games were already discussed, though the hints of a new Zelda game aren't. This all seems to contradict Nintendo's previous message that 2003 would be a year of new ideas and characters, but is anyone going to argue against a new adventure starring Link?

This year??? Holy shit! And considering how short the development time for WW was (incuding making an impressive new engine), we could have another Zelda game by late 2004/early 2005! That is of course if he plans on using the same engine. Hmm... perhaps they could use the WW engine for the next Mario game and make a more realistic Zelda game to please all of those cry-baby fans. It would be perfect for Mario.
What I'd like to see is a new Mario platformer using the WW engine and a Majora's Mask-type side-story Zelda game using the WW engine but changing a lot of the gameplay, ala MM.
Miyamoto has commented in the past on how the next Mario and Zelda games will be very different from past games in the series, and I assume he was referring to changing the gameplay.

2) Spring Training starts in a week... almost time to start hoping our teams (Hey, is anyone here a fan of a WINNING team?) won't fail again... and then have those dreams dashed once the season is underway... :(
The first part of the first animated Matrix anime can be found here.
The first of several animated Matrix shorts is called "The Second Rennaisance" and is directed by Mahiro Maeda of Blue Subarine No. 6 fame. It's a prequel to the movies and tells the story of how the machines took over mankind. Part of the story was done in the first wave of the Matrix online comics at the official site. So go check out the movie! It's very cool.
This game appears to be continuing the tradition of SNES/GBA-esque style RPG's but it looks very colorful and I'm hoping the US gets to see what it's all about.
It's in Japanese, so you'll have to run it through Babelfish for an even poorly translated version. Sounds like themes from many SNES RPG's as I've said before. Take a look, draw your own conclusions.(Other than of course the decidedly primitive AC-esque graphics)
Boy, I'm actually pretty bored of the whole non-stop debate thing going on over here. You have people like ABF who believe their own opinions are "fact", and then people like ABF who can't admit when they're wrong.
But I digress. From this day forward I will make a conscious effort to argue as little as possible unless it's in the debate forum! I will even be the bigger man by letting notoriously wrong people like ABF and Hudson tell everyone their crazy opinions on things without responding to them in a mean and spiteful manner.
:D I jest.
Do we really have to disagree on everything? Everyone has their own opinions, and they shouldn't have to be afraid of speaking their mind because someone might get mad at them for it. So let's all try to be a little nicer to each other, okay? I'll be the first one to start.
