      LCD screen...

Well, oddly enough, my littlest brother and sister pair have managed to combine forces to actually break a GBA. Specifically, the one I gave them with the light in it after I got my own SP. After opening it, I saw the screen actually shattered from some really sharp impact from the back. From the looks of it, it was on the floor and one of them stepped on it in some really hard really pointy way. As expected, the light that was put into it was not what did it in. Well, anyway it seems the screen isn't actually soldered into the GBA, but rather plugs in nice and neatly. So, searching around I found some sites USED to sell GBA screens, but no longer.

Oh well, anyway the REST of the system works perfectly fine, including the light (it's surprising how far you can get into a game by sound alone). So, if I can get ahold of another broken system somehow someway, that's broken in some OTHER way, I can just take the working screen out and fix the problem. Honestly I'm just surprised that the GBA finally met it's match not in me, but in... THEM.

      Where's that extra content again?
    Posted by: Dark Jaguar - 3rd March 2004, 4:10 PM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (55)

As part of TC's new official holiday that ABF started, I ask this of Lucasarts/Bioware. Where's that downloadable content for Knights of the Old Republic? It's been almost a year now, hasn't it?

Now, this game is very fun indeed, but I've been waiting for this extra stuff for some time. Did they just decide not to, rendering an entire option in the game a mere cosmetic anomoly, or is it just taking a LONG time? Basically, they should at least release a patch to fix the billions of glitches in the game. Namely, I'm sick of the freezing followed by teleporting into the future glitch. You know, where you stop, and then suddenly you are a mile away and getting killed by some monstrosity? At most they should add a whole mission or two where you actually get to pilot one of those scissory looking ships for a bit (though that would of course require a whole new engine :D), and maybe a race track where people get to all race at the same time, you know, to really add everything from all the Star Wars movies in there.

Anyway, actually I'm thinking that, if they didn't just cancel making the content completely, they are waiting to around the release of the last movie to release this content, probably with some special nod to that movie added, you know like the hidden ship in Rogue Squadron.

Once again this is absolute tard, Violent individuals are caused by mental rage and insanity not because they saw a violent tv show or video game.
Millions of people go and see horror films and action movies and millions more play GTA3 , But why arnt thousands if not millions of those players going out reinacting what they see? Isnt odd that the crime rate is also going down?
They said the same shit about comic books years ago , Infact the violent imagery in comics has gone up yet nobody cares since it isnt popular.

Kids that are agressive and rebelious is because they lack a good relationship with their parents.

As for obesity well there isnt much difference then having them watch tv , They complain that these kids sit around eating chips and junk yet who is buying it for them?Yes their parents who need shut up and sit down and talk with their kids about diet and physical activity, It seems that many dont even make the effort to attempt it they just blaim it on somthing as a scape goat.

I myself have put on weight but I blaim it on the cold winter and the high cost of going too a gym. Despite that I try to walk atleast 15 minutes a day outside.

Now you get to see the man behind the posts. I took a bunch of pictures from the Illinois/Northwestern game I went to this past weekend. I wanted to chronicle the entire day, but my camera battery ran out after the game. Pretty stupid of me to leave the power cord for it at home. I'm hoping to eventually find the time to set-up my own webpage, but for now it's hosted on my dad's webspace.

      Gamecubes selling like mad!
    Posted by: EdenMaster - 1st March 2004, 4:01 PM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (41)

    Source: Planet GameCube

Quote:In an interesting turn of events, Nintendo of America today stated that its reservoir of GameCube consoles has nearly run dry. Nintendo news hounds may remember a time when Nintendo discontinued their console’s production in order to clear a backlog of unsold systems. It seems last year’s price cut certainly did the trick! NOA is now looking to acquire more units from international waters.

Store shelves are just running very dry," Nintendo spokeswoman Perrin Kaplan told Reuters. "I'd say about 50 percent of our stores are out."

Perrin assured Reuters that Nintendo has brought its manufacturing plant in Japan to full capacity to meet the demand in North America.

Well hot damn! Looks like people are finally starting to see the Nintendo Difference...well, probably more like the Price Difference :). Still, good to see the system is selling.

    Posted by: OB1 - 1st March 2004, 1:47 PM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (15)

    Woohoo!

    From gaming-age:

Quote:This morning, Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar confirmed both the name and the date of next Grand Theft Auto game. "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" is currently in development, and is scheduled for an October 19 release in North America and October 19 reelase in Europe.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be exclusive to the PlayStation 2 for a limited time. The period of exclusivity has not yet been announced.

"In the past couple of years, we have put an enormous amount of pressure on ourselves to ensure we do everything possible to exceed people's expectations with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," stated Sam Houser, President of Rockstar Games. "Even though we still have eight months to go, we are starting to become very proud of what we have achieved and we can't wait to get the game into players' hands."

Leslie Benzies, President of Rockstar North, stated, "We are extremely humbled by the success of the Grand Theft Auto series and it has made us push ourselves further than ever to create a title in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that will hopefully redefine the Grand Theft Auto series and revolutionize open-ended gameplay and video game production values."

Yay, GTA in a San Francisco-like city! That's so cool! Now all they have to do is make GTA: Hong Kong and GTA: Tokyo and I... I would be very happy!
