What happens when you take DKC with 3-D graphics (many of which look some of the best graphics i've ever seen including fur-shading up the whazoo) and have it use the DK Bongos?
Pure fucking magic, that's what.
I've never even imagined a game like this, it borrows from just about every 2-D game in the world and after a 30 some odd year legacy of 2-D gameplay it manages to create something completely new that is so genius it has to be played to be believed.
A side from every answer starting with "As the leading..." - "Largest 3rd party peripheral company..." - "With our expertice as an industry leader" - etc it's a good read; specifically:
Nintendo has given information stating that a shell controller will be used to play mainstream games for Revolution. Any plans on supporting that play-style as well?
Mad Catz is dedicated to providing peripherals that meet the needs of the gamer. The shell controller is an excellent way to link the new system to the mainstream crowd and is thus in the launch plan for the Revolution. With that in mind, we may find the shell controller to simply be a bridging controller that pulls the mainstream gamer to the Revolution which then ultimately leads to mass adoption of the Revolution's innovative control system.
First try, 19/21... had two of them flipped. Had to look them up, as they were some of the ones I had tried to figure out going on just the screenshot and name... :)
Oh yes, here's also a videogame sound effects quiz... this I found quite hard, 9/18 with lots of guesses...
From thursday to saturday there's a DDO preview. If you sign up in the next couple of hours you should get in. When I signed up they gave me an extra key:
I have a warrentee still in effect for my DS. I can wait until the new model comes out and Best Buy sells out of the old model, then demand a replacement because of some dead pixels. Since the people working there don't care about their job, they will likely try to satisfy me by simply providing the new model, and off I go.
That is, if the new model is actually better than the old. I'm thinking maybe they could layer the two screens on top of each other, and when you fold the top one up, you can actually "slide" the bottom part down and fold it so suddenly the top screen is facing forward and covering the one underneath. In this way, it doesn't take up so much space when in use. It would do the trick for playing GBA games in that mode. Otherwise, just fold it fully "out" and you have normal DS functions.
It could also be designed like an SP with 3 folds and a twist, or something...
