RPG Quiz - A Black Falcon - 17th January 2006

http://www.thefurryone.net/dtoys/rpgssq.pl

First try, 19/21... had two of them flipped. Had to look them up, as they were some of the ones I had tried to figure out going on just the screenshot and name... :)

Oh yes, here's also a videogame sound effects quiz... this I found quite hard, 9/18 with lots of guesses...

RPG Quiz - Weltall - 17th January 2006

I got a perfect 18 on the SFX quiz.

That means I know my shit, though I had to guess on two of them (Gorf and Combat).

RPG Quiz - Dark Jaguar - 18th January 2006

Failed the RPG one miserably... I got 8 and didn't even risk a guess on the rest.

RPG Quiz - A Black Falcon - 18th January 2006

I got a lot of them through the process of elimination, and what I knew about them... (spoilers, kinda) Skies of Arcadia and Survival Kids because i have them, FFT because I know what kind of game that is (only one of its type there), Phantasy Star IV by the graphics (and a giveaway in the onscreen text), Valkyrie Profile because of the system it's for and character names, Secret of Mana by the main character, Illusion of Gaia because it was the only other one that looked like Secret of Mana but couldn't be that game, Landstalker because it's the only game with that graphical style on the list, Shining in the Darkness because of the kind of game it is (only one of its type from that generation there), Brandish because I remember screenshots of the game from Nintendo Power and it is distinctive, Lufia II because it was the only other 16-bit RPG there (and partially character name recognition), Quest 64... well, it's the only 3d one, not exactly hard, Lunar Magic School because of the platform it was for and the art style Final Fantasy III because it was the only other traditional-looking 8-bit Japanese RPG there(though asking about those two was a bit cruel, given that they never came out outside of Japan...), and Princess Tomato and the Salad Kingdom because it's distinctive... then I was left with the hard ones. I got Solstice by subgenre, process of elimination, and the main character, AD&D by the graphics (though I wasn't certain, I thought that was it, and it was), Uninvited because that sounded like a good name for a game in that genre, and I happened to be right, and Drakkhen right by a good guess, but I mixed up Legacy of the Wizard and Willow... by assumptions had worked for those other games, but there I got it wrong. Oh well... :) Fun quiz. More interesting than just multiple choice.

Because it doesn't tell you the right answers it is a bit hard to figure out what you got wrong, but since the screenshots are all publically accessible ones (you can find those exact shots linked from Gamefaqs, I believe), it's not too hard to check up on the uncertain ones.
