It's a videogame review show, shot with a camcorder in someone's basement by a Batman and Robin duo of master dorks. It's 45 minutes long, and I'm still watching it, but so far it consists of kids who lack even an ounce of self-consciousness, focusing the camcorder on a DS sideways and telling you the straight, hard edge analysis... with Sonic and Mario music playing in the background.
It's a calculator. Instead of electricity forming the constant on/off signals and gateways, it's all a physical (well electricity is physical), er, mechanical process, like in the olden days before electricity.... became utilized by humans.
So there ya go. Here's something. If a self aware intellect can be formed from programming, can the same be said of a giant series of levers and pullies? Could someone design a self aware aquaduct system? Try envisioning ALL computer programming as just this using electricity and you see why we are pretty far off from moving AI to I just yet.
Because having game of the year awards during the year the awards are for is just stupid. It leaves out games which come out right at the end of the year... which often happens...
Anyway... Nintendo stuff only, at least for this thread. Not sure how to organize it though... 'top 10' or whatever for each platform? By genre and platform? By genre, platform neutral (with top-list platform awards too)? I'll start with the last idea. Nominations... (add more!)

Other games that should be fit in somewhere, but which genre do they belong in
Wario Ware: Twisted - puzzle? create a 'minigames' category for this and Mario Party 7?
Sonic Gems Collection - 2d platformer, 3d fighting, and racing...
Battalion Wars (GC) - action/adventure? action? strategy?
Yoshi Touch 'n Go (DS) - action/shooter or 2d platformer?
Killer 7 (GC) - action/shooter or FPS?
What else?
... not that I actually expect this to go very far, but making lists is fun. :)
Oh, and I wouldn't mind a 'none of the above' category for some genres... :D
i have adopted a G4 Mac and boy is my penis erect. Everything runs super smooth, even with a dozen programs open there isn't a single drop in performance. i have to say though, one clicck mice are for the birds, so i'm using the bastard MS wheel mouse which the mac seems to have no problem with.
I'm getting use to this keyboard and the other mac-oddities i'm just not used to. USB plugs in the keyboard? Safari?....panther? we worked on these guys at film school for editing stations and many of the game classes are using them (or were using them, I think its all alienware now) so i have some experience with them but holy krap, this is different. Everything is so integrated and easy to use.
Annyone else currently in a relationship with one of these things?
A parasite that, at a certain time, mind controllinates the ant and so the ant seeks out a blade of grass and hangs on the very end with it's mighty mandibles until a cow comes by and eats it. MIND TAKER!
From the makers of Riviera... I was wondering if it'd get a US release, and it's awesome that it will. :) Riviera was really, really good. I'm not sure if it or Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones were the best GBA game of 2005, but one or the other certainly was... anyway, I'm just hoping that this will be anywhere near that great. Hopefully...
