I'm creating this thread for two reasons: First, I want to talk about the movie that's coming out on August 23rd. Second, I would like to learn more about the graphic novel that the movie is based on.
When I first heard about the Scott Pilgrim movie, I was not aware that it was based off a graphic novel series that was originally released in 04. Now that the movie is just one month away, I would like to start reading series to get acquainted with the characters and plot. Well, I shouldn't include the plot. The trailers alone have given me a firm understanding of Scott's mission to defeat the seven evil ex-boyfriends of his current love interest, Ramona.
Surprisingly enough, the graphic novel series isn't even finished. The sixth and final chapter in the series comes out tomorrow.
The movie stars Micheal Cera (this should not be a surprise), Mary Winstead and Chris Evans.
Overall, the movie looks really good. According to the info that I've read, the movie and novel series have quite a few references to numerous video games series (i.e. Final Fantasy, Super Mario Bros., etc.).

Thomas H Porter was a true American business man..
He actually sold brand name slaves.. That's right! The people he sold where forced to wear his logo like a pair of Levis Jeans!
You know you where getting quality, because the slave wore a Thomas Porter button on his or her shirt!
It just goes to show you what a horrible time we lived in..
Ok I bought a Radon HD 5570. Assuming that my previous HD 3200 belongs to the same family, then this new one is... 2570 more. However, before I install it, the guy at Best Buy tried to sell me a new power source... he said that if I don't, there's a chance the new card could overload and fry my extant power source. I've never heard of this before. Is it true? If so, I would need to check how much my current power source is. How would I go about doing that? The box on the 5570 recommends 400 Watt or Greater Power Supply.
Your next mission: Tell me which of these things that is running in the back of my computer shouldn't be there. These all boot up with the computer, and I suspect that many of them are malware.
A new report from the national highway safety administration yesterday announced that the crash recorders recovered in a number of Toyota hybrids indicate no engine malfunctions at all. As a matter of fact according to the report 100% of the crash recorders indicate the accelerator in all the vehicles was pressed, not the break. Many consumers still insist the black boxes are lying.
Personally I think it's kind of odd that litterly hundreds of drivers are so retarded that they cant tell the petals apart. But at the same time we cant argue with the evidence.
Unless of course the NHSA is on the lamb.. I guess only time will tell.
