      Are spammers even trying anymore?

Look with me at the latest email I recieved.

    Quote:Subject: Unauthorized Activity

    Dear Bank of America client,

You have received this email because you or someone had used your account from different locations. For security purpose, we are required to open an investigation into this matter.

In order to safeguard your account, we require that you confirm your banking details.

The help speeed up to this process, please access the following link so we ca complete the verification of your Bank of America Online Banking Account registration information.

    <a href="http://201.78.78.249/www.bankofamerica.com/sslencrypt218bit/online_banking/">http://201.78.78.249/www.bankofamerica.com/sslencrypt218bit/online_banking/</a>

If we do no receive the appropriate account verification within 48 hours, then we will assume this Bank of America account is fraudulent and will be suspended.

The purpose of this verification is to ensure that your bank account has not been fraudulently used and to combat the fraud from our community. We appreciate your support and understanding and thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Okay. That is the bulk of the text.

First, I do not have a Bank of America account, nor have I ever.

Second, the address this came from was no-replymail@google.com. That's not suspicious at all.

Third, and this is purely speculation, but I don't think one of the biggest banks in the country would have something like "sslencrypt218bit" in a link to it's online banking center.

Fourth, it's not very professional. Phrases like "someone had used your account", "different locations. For" and "The help speeed up" make me sad for todays spammers.

Finally, wouldn't you also think there would be some sort of signature, perhaps the name of a CEO or other name (even a fake one!) to lend it at least a little bit of credibility?

Man, what a lazy attempt at spam.

It makes me nostaligic for the days of <a href="http://tcforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3650">Leader Next Human Sandwich</a>.

That would be ridiculously awesome if true (and if it also comes to the US)...

Beyond him reaching for his lawyers at the drop of a hat, beyond his ignoring any psychic abilities until he realizes he's on camera, at which point he seems to go directly into his commercial mode, there's the fact that every study that's been done has shown no harmful effects from tellular cellephones. I mean it's microwaves we're talking about here. At most a lot of them focused in one place will heat things up, but the light rays at that low energy aren't sufficient to break up the bonds of DNA. You need something a bit into ultraviolet before it has sufficient energy to start doing that, hence if you start seeing x-ray based telecommunications devices springing up, then you should worry.

Anyway, I found it funny. I hear he's doing some special with Chris Angel (noted skeptic of psychic powers, as most magicians seem to be), which really just gets my head scratching. I just keep wondering if it's some elaborate version of "Punk'd"...

Sega has actually sunk so low as to sell something based on complete nonsense. "Speech analysis" to detect lying is an idea as dead as phrenology, if perhaps a bit more recent. Is Sega actually claiming this thing is supposed to work? I sure hope this doesn't get released here, and shame on Nintendo for putting their seal of approval on this thing. It only shows their support of this nonsense. What's next Sega? Are you to make a game where people focus their mental powers to alter the results of a random number generator?

That's what I would have named it myself.

Anyway, very interesting. So the combat is a bizarre combo of Super Mario RPG and some Chrono Trigger stuff. I think perhaps I shall faint, because that is just a good idea. Outside of combat, it's a point and click adventure game. That... genius... And, fully customizable main character. So there's that.

    I'm getting this game.

That image, just to be clear, is a picture of the known universe at the largest scale available. Those squiggly cobweb things? That's a webbing constructed of MASSIVE GALAXY CLUSTERS. Now there's a hole in it, of such size that you should be TERRIFIED the moment you contemplate it. Anyway, scientists don't get what's causing it, and they are exited about that, standard response and all that.

My thoughts? Random baseless conjecture I'll admit, but I'm pretty sure one of the Old Ones sneezed.

If you want... Drop me your 10 digit mobile number in a PM and I will add you to the contact dropdown list for easy selection of TendoCity Users.

Visit the new NetPage module: here

One thing though. Touching the screen directly with my finger? Nah, I like a screen that doesn't show me my finger prints. The back would be fine though.
