It seems like, every week, there's another state with its discrimination statutes being struck down. My current state of Kentucky is now making its baby steps, as it now has to recognize same sex marriages from outside states. My former state of Virginia's ban on same-sex marriage has been struck down by a federal judge (and the new Attorney General is refusing to defend the ban).
This is pretty amazing. It looks like the homophobes are losing the war, not just battle after battle.

So was writing some JavaScript today and I often abbreviate long words in my function names. Well today it just so happened I ended up with two function calls named nads and balls..
Stay with me it gets worse.. :)
In my comments you will see lines like: //Function is taking to long, cut off the case managers nads.
Also
//Exception was thrown - balls
This is what happens when we run out of coffee.. LOL
Legends of Localization has been a fun site I've been visiting as of late, tackling all sorts of bizarre old school translations.
Recently, Mato (the person who runs the site) has found places online full of fans of the AVGN, only they're Japanese fans. Part of me wonders exactly what Japanese translations of the AVGN they're seeing, considering that a literal translation of some of his rants would probably come across as "I'd rather eat poop, I'd rather eat poop from a butt, I'd rather eat poop and also poop" considering the nature of similes and how well they normally translate.
The bizarre thing is Mato translated the Japanese fan's comments on these AVGN videos (which Mato also takes the time to look into differences between US and Japanese versions of games the Nerd has reviewed).
Also, not only do they know of the Angry Nerd, they know of the Happy Nerd too.
The PS4 is selling very well, but Sony as a whole is losing a lot of money. Perhaps this "all in" strategy on 4K TV sets was a mistake. Frankly, I don't see the need for such high resolutions. Yes, I've seen the in-store displays, but those things are HUGE, so YEAH I'm going to notice a difference. So, I have to get an even bigger TV than I already have, making the pixels in my SNES games the size of yams, just to notice a difference? I think I'd rather just keep my smaller TV, which is, well, good enough.
Maybe I'll change my mind in 5 years when "gamma ray" movies come along that actually take advantage of this technology.
