      Supreme Commander 2 is lame
    Posted by: A Black Falcon - 5th March 2010, 6:55 PM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (2)

No, I have not bought this game, and won't be buying it, despite that the first Supreme Commander, from 2007, was the second best RTS of the last decade. (Warcraft III is of course number one.) The first Supreme Commander is a very deep and complex game that uses a truly massive scale far beyond that of almost any other RTS. The maps are huge, your armies are huge, and the best way to play is often fully zoomed out, looking at just the little symbols that represent units. It's the spiritual sequel to Total Annihilation and is an amazing, amazing game.

So, when people heard about the sequel, which was recently released, like a lot of people I was pretty excited...

And then the demo came out and the reality of the game was revealed. It is not Supreme Commander. It's simplistic and small in scale in comparison, and much less fun as well. Gas Powered Games seems to have been aiming more at the console (Xbox 360) audience for this one, or perhaps the console and C&C audiences, but with C&C4 coming soon, why would C&C fans care? As for console gamers, RTSes never sell well on consoles. Halo Wars did sell a million copies, but other than that... not so much. Why GPG did this is mystifying, but I can't think of any result other than that this game is going to be forgotten and not played very much in the future, while the first SupCom will still be one of the best RTSes ever and a popular game. It's sad...

    Here's a review for example: http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/supreme-command...509p1.html

SupCom is awesome. This is pretty sad. :(

      CLASH OF THE CHRIS'

WHO WOULD WIN IN A FIGHT: 1974 CHRISTOPHER LEE OR 1984 CHRISTOPHER WALKEN? GO GO GO!

My money in on Christopher Lee, because as cool, badass and creepy as Walken is, he is not Lee. They're both badass, but Lee:

    --James Bond villain
    --Star Wars villain
    --Lord of the Rings villain
    --Countless horror movies villain

    and Walken:

    --James Bond Villain
    --Rundown villain

    VICTOR: Lee

It's a pretty good browser, thanks in part to a nice array of helpful extensions. On the other hand, there are a few things that urk me about it, but not enough to get me to change back to Firefox.

    You remember him?

I guess it's not really very funny anymore, because Andrew lost weight and turned into an Aryan poster child. But, yeah, he's still around.

It isn't hypocritical at all for Republians to be yelling about the Democrats using reconciliation to pass health care, no way! See how this graphics proves their case? Erm :barf:
