It isn't hypocritical at all for Republians to be yelling about the Democrats using reconciliation to pass health care, no way! See how this graphics proves their case? Erm :barf:

      FUCKERS!
    Posted by: Geno - 1st March 2010, 8:46 AM - Forum: Ramble City - Replies (141)

DJ: Hey, Darunia! Jesus loves you! :)

Darunia: BLASPHEMY! Jesus isn't real! By royal Goron decree, I hereby ban all religions from the colony of Tendo City, an annexed territory of the sovereign nation of Daruniatopia, under the federal jurisdiction of our capital, Goron City, formerly of Hyrule until our secession back in 1999, effective immediately!

Weltall: You're banning religion? Kind of like China between 1949 and 1978? So you're a Communist now?

Lazy: I thought Darunia was a hairy Frenchman.

Darunia: SILENCE, PEASANTS! *punches Lazy in the gut*

Lazy: You hit like a girl!

Darunia: There is no God and there will be no pursuance of ignorance in the Goron Empire! Am I right, ABF?

    ABF: Um... Darunia... behind you.

    Darunia: Eh? *turns around*

    "FUCKERS!"

Geno: Yeah! Super Mecha Death Christ 2000 B.C. Version 2.0 Beta, bitch!

SMDC2KBCV2.0B: FUCKERS! *begins blowing shit up while slowly approaching Darunia*

Darunia: I-I have no reason to be afraid! That thing isn't real and therefore cannot hurt me!

SMDC2KBCV2.0B: FUCKERS! *blasts Darunia into the sky*

Darunia: There's a scientific explanation for thiiiiiiiiiiiiiis! *falls into Death Mountain Crater, which subsequently erupts*

    Weltall: Wow. Is he dead?

SMDC2KBCV2.0B: HE WILL BE BACK! UNTIL THEN... FUCKERS! FUCKERS! *rolls away while still blowing up random shit*

And so, the last gasp of the Sierra of old dies...
    Posted by: Dark Jaguar - 28th February 2010, 1:57 PM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (1)

    http://kotaku.com/5482221/activision-ter...-extension

Like it says on the tin. Sierra, though mostly hollowed out already, had allowed a 3rd party group of fans to make a new King's Quest game with their blessing so long as it didn't have King's Quest in the title, simply calling it "The Silver Lining". They've been working on it for 9 years or so, and admittedly I myself had wondered if I'd ever see any actual progress beyond the playable demo they released a long time ago.

However, Activision apparently owns the brand now and they've decided to go back on that deal and demand they stop production of the game outright.

One could compare this to the Chrono Trigger remake that got shut down (and how in it's place we've just been getting port after port of the SNES game). In terms of disappointment, this is actually greater as it wasn't just a remake. However, there is a difference. They had actually been making this on a "non-profit liscense" all this time, which Activision simply cancelled. I honestly can't imagine why. It hardly threatened their profits. It was never going to be sold, and considering any possible new game in the series they'd make would almost certainly be different, it couldn't really cut into sales either. If anything it'd help sales of the only product from the series I'm sure they would produce, shoddy Dosbox enabled "ports" of the original series.

Disappointing... I am not sure why they insist on shooting their view among gamers in the foot like this. I'm reminded of when Steven Colbert showed his non-infringing title for his coverage of the "Winter Based Comptetitive Events" and some lawyer said "we'd still sue you but you'd win". Company lawyers must think the law is a big joke to waste the court's time and tax payer's money on a case they know for a fact they'd lose JUST for the sake of "establishing attempted defense of copyright".

Awesome... hexes make strategy games more complex and deeper, so it'll be pretty interesting to see them in Civilization. Could be awesome...

I'm partial to Roger Moore... I have to say it's probably The Spy Who Loved Me. Love the zany campy 70's directing style... for the same reasons, I also love Moonraker and The Man with the Golden Gun. My favorite Connery is Dr. No.

      What'chall Playing '10?
    Posted by: Darunia - 27th February 2010, 7:28 PM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (78)

I think the last time we had a similar post, my answer was Resident Evil Zero. Having said that, I am today probably on the last legs of my passed WoW days... after four years, I've finally fallen out of it. You may all be surprised to know that I never really play videogames anymore. I bought a Wii, played it once, and never went back to it... and that was the last time I owned a new console.

    And the rest of you?
