Fast forward to 2020, and I can't make the program load. It tells me, D3DRM.DLL is missing. I did looking on YouTube and Google and I kind of know what that means but I am VERY bad at this kind of thing, and I am hoping that one of you can tell me--Its a core component of microsofts graphics and gaming system. The DLL has been renamed as of the newer version. Your system I am sure is fine. I wouldn't advise you downgrade directX as that will most likely ablertate everying modern windows. You could try and register the DLL but it will most likely not work without all the oder legacy bits.
How can I resolve this problem so I can use Jed to make levels again with my sons?
If you are able to help me, please break it down into simple instructions!
As compensation, I will pay you 500 rupees.
Your best but is to make a virtual machine and install windows 7 on it. Or you couldn't possibly try compatability mode. https://www.groovypost.com/howto/run-old...lity-mode/
Set the desired mode to window 7.
This is a long shot but that may be a quick fix. Otherwise you will need to spin up a virtual machine I think.
