    Another game.

I post a word, and the next person posts a word that is somehow related to it.

    Example:

    1. Apple Pie
    2. Crust
    3. Mantle
    4. Fireplace
    5. Bricks
    6. Mortar
    7. Artillery
    8. Bombs
    9. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
    10. James Woods

    Easy.

    The first word is wireless

Satellite would have bad reception, but how does a direct cable link get bad reception due to a storm? I guess if it was severed by lightning or heavy snow...

    Okay, my keyword now...

We're having a bitch of a snowstorm. Over one foot in less than 24 hours and it's not expected to stop until thursday. It's now snowing at approximately 2-3 inches per hour.

I'm getting a bad reception from some of the local stations.

You can't say you have "a" bad reception. It's just one of those nouns you can't use "a" with.

My cable (both tv and net) is working fine, despite that storm. Proof that Colorado Springs > Fort Collins.

Nope, not that either. Just "getting bad reception". It's like a pair of pants, you can't have just one pant.

I don't know what that has to do with OB1, but I don't know what it has to do with Laser either!

Is it still snowing up there? We had about 4 inches this morning and it snowed a little throughout the day, but due to the frenzied meteorlogists ramblings of blizzards the entire city shut down today and my school closed at 1:30, after I had been there all morning waiting for classes. I was happy to get out of classes and my midterms, but some super genius decided to shut down the shuttle system at noon and there is NO parking on campus so we all had to walk a half mile back to our cars through the weather that was "too dangerous for the shuttle drivers". And to think I want to learn things from this logic deprived place!?!?

Anyway, that was all to say that since then it hasn't snowed at all and they are quietely lowering their predictions from "3 feet across the front range and snowing 3 inches every hour" to "some areas (aka, the top of Pikes Peak) may get as much as a foot of snow.

I was just out in my backyard playing like a little kid and it's incredible. There's over two feet of snow in my backyard, and it's still coming down like mad.

Isn't Colorado supposed to be gettting up to 3 feet of snow? Wow... that's a lot.

Meanwhile here it's been above freezing since last friday... literally a foot of snow has melted in the front yard (which gets sun)!

Oh... a word. Um... chicken. (as in chicken noodle soup)

This is the first real snowmelt we've had this winter... some snow has melted before, and temperatures have been above freezing, but never for very long, and it wasn't near 50 degrees... it was last weekend. And a lot of snow melted in areas that get sun... but this is New England, so I know that probably this week it'll drop under freezing again, and it could snow anytime until mid May...

They actually USED the emergency broadcast system? That's incredible! They didn't even use it during 9/11, and they end up using it during a few feet of snow that will melt off by thursday? Incredible!

Yup. We're completely stuck at home for at least another day. They also told us to call the hospital in case of emergencies so that they can come over here.

This is the worst snow in Colorado history since something like 1915.

There's been a ton of snow up here. Like, 4 feet to four and a half. And it was coold. I can't think of a day from start of January to end of February that it was warmer that -15 celsius...most days it was -30 celsius.

Why on earth? The only reason it doesn't snow in hell is because Satan has at least a little bit of decency. Our snow is just melting and I say good riddance till next year.
