Welcome back nick, and it would seem that he's no longer the fanboy he was last time he was here. Oh well. Anyway, are you still RACIST? :D Kidding, anyway, you've gone retro eh?
I must confess, taking a mindset of "the classics are the only good games" is the cheapest way to go, but it gets cheaper and cheaper the earlier you start. Currently, N64 games are considered "classics". Darunia actually remembers those days as "so long ago", oddly enough. No, "long ago" is SNES, or NES days. Now if I went Retro during the NES days, well, I'd be "done" right now. I'd just sit around with my Game Axe without a care in the world for the new games. I'd basically BE Cranky Kong.
But, that's not the case. I'm still interested in the new games, because they haven't screwed up yet. Darunia, you may not realize this, but during the N64 days, a lot of people said "ugh, today's games suck! Give me Link to the Past any day over this Ocarnia of Time karp!". And, during the SNES days I recall reading many a though provoking speech regarding how the SNES days are "too much about the graphics" and "games are too easy" and all that stuff.
