"WIRE HANGERS EVERYWHERE?"
As we survive from year to year,
Our stockings simply disappear.
While hangers, on the other hand,
Just multiply to beat the band.
Engaging in proliferation,
Defying any explanation.
It just might be that lowly hose
Evolve, so they can then transpose,
And thus become, like pollywogs
(which morph into your grown-up frogs),
A larval stage. With sleepy languor
Each becomes a clothing-hanger.
Elusive socks you thought were gone,
You now can hang your britches on.
