[weltall]It's not a matter of racial purity, and even the annoyance at their refusal to integrate isn't the core concern, it's the fact that they do not legally belong here, and worse, they siphon tax money, getting all sorts of benefits from the government, and do not pay taxes in return. If they would immigrate legally, there would be far less concern over them.
Weltall---thank you, but don't bother. We're pilgrims in an unholy land, to quote a movie. They knew what's best because they've either been to Europe, or come from Canada. What would the average American know about America, Weltall.
[Fittisize]He took Russian? What a nerd.
Yea, I mean like definitely. It's not like Russian was a major world language up until a decade ago. It's not like learning foreign languages is an admirable pursuit or anything. I mean, only a nerd would bother learning a foreign language, right Fittisize? That must be why your illegal hispanic pals don't learnn English, because they're too cool and not nerdy enough for that. Your dissing Russian isn't like being degrading to an entire nation, is it? Oh, but you can get away with it, because you're a liberal, et les liberaux se protègent, l'un et l'autre.
(Illusion)You're not FRENCH. Get it through your head. You have very little French Canadian in you.
More than half, sir, which would technically be a majority.
That doesn't make you FRENCH. I have French Canadian in me as well.. does that give me a reason to be pro-French? No.
Well no shit it doesn't make me French, do I have to BE FRENCH to LEARN FRENCH and have an interest in that nation and it's culture/history? You're taking Spanish, are you Spanish?
You took Russian in highschool. You're always writing Russian wherever you're going. Don't say it's because you're just interested in the WWII history of Russia.
Well, yea; because it's cool. At least a few other people here speak Russian too. It impresses people when you write in cyrillic, and I enjoy the challenge. Interested in WWII history? The eastern front was the most boring, I don't care about 'Russian WWII history' at all---I only like 'Enemy at the Gates' is all.
