I watched some more. And yes the same night that I said I would, but then you (GR) didn't bother to follow-up on that...

You said you'd watch some more and then I said "Okay." I was merely waiting for you to confirm that you had done so.

    So...what did you think?

    Well, good!

Episode 6 and 7 [which have the series only story arc] are where most of the action in the series is, though it manages to mesh nicely with the overall theme of the series. And then there's the ninth episoded which will serioulsy mess with your mind.

Episode 2 is definitely one of my favorites in the series. Episode 3 is pretty good, not one of my favorites, though.

Let me put it this way: That episode caused me to think that everything I thought I knew about the series wasn't accurate at all.

I'll say no more than that, anything else would just ruin the coolness of that episode.

7 and 8 are pretty good, most of the action scenes in the series are there.

The series is like, loose and episodic. I thought it might be something that would come up in the final episode, but it didn't. As I said, though, the last episode is still great.

Ah, I saw the first episode of this at my friend's house! Did you know that it is from the man that made Serial Experiments Lain? That is one of my favorite animes. Sorry if this is redundant information! :loopy:

No, Kino isn't by the guy who did Lain. Lain is by Yoshitoshi ABe, he made Lain, Haibane Renmei (if you ever see it, get it! Great series!), and the not quite as good Niea_7 (Niea under 7).

    Ooh, he did another series...

Kino... hmm... says here, but it's not ABe.

Oh yeah, and watching just part of Lain is pointless... it's a series with a strong series, and definitely the whole thing should be watched. It's actually got a real ending that helps make the whole series make a lot more sense!

Yes, Kino's Journey IS by the guy who did Lain. Ryotaru Nakamura directed both series.

Yoshitoshi Abi merely did the character designs for Lain, as well as Haibane Renmei [also did the original idea], Niea_7, and Texhnolyze. Abe had nothing to do with Kino's Journey.

It was one of the topics in the changing-topic-forum, before it stuck with Star Wars, yeah... but what should we do with that extra forum now?
