Kino - OB1 - 13th May 2005

I watched some more. And yes the same night that I said I would, but then you (GR) didn't bother to follow-up on that...

Kino - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2005

You said you'd watch some more and then I said "Okay." I was merely waiting for you to confirm that you had done so.

So...what did you think?

Kino - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2005

I don't understand what that means...and I won't respond to it.

Kino - OB1 - 13th May 2005

It means I like!

Kino - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2005

Well, good!

Episode 6 and 7 [which have the series only story arc] are where most of the action in the series is, though it manages to mesh nicely with the overall theme of the series. And then there's the ninth episoded which will serioulsy mess with your mind.

Kino - OB1 - 13th May 2005

Like a frex terndend?

Kino - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2005

What?

Kino - OB1 - 13th May 2005

fesd...

Kino - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2005

Erm

Kino - OB1 - 13th May 2005

I saw epeezodes dos and tres

Kino - Great Rumbler - 13th May 2005

Episode 2 is definitely one of my favorites in the series. Episode 3 is pretty good, not one of my favorites, though.

Kino - OB1 - 13th May 2005

Yes two was good.

Kino - OB1 - 16th May 2005

Great Rumbler Wrote:And then there's the ninth episoded which will serioulsy mess with your mind.

What do you mean by that?

Kino - Great Rumbler - 17th May 2005

Let me put it this way: That episode caused me to think that everything I thought I knew about the series wasn't accurate at all.

I'll say no more than that, anything else would just ruin the coolness of that episode.

Kino - OB1 - 17th May 2005

Neato. I finished 8 last night.

Kino - Great Rumbler - 17th May 2005

7 and 8 are pretty good, most of the action scenes in the series are there.

Kino - OB1 - 18th May 2005

Kino - OB1 - 18th May 2005

What the fuck? They don't mention that again? That's just retarded.

Kino - Great Rumbler - 18th May 2005

The series is like, loose and episodic. I thought it might be something that would come up in the final episode, but it didn't. As I said, though, the last episode is still great.

Kino - OB1 - 18th May 2005

That blows.

Kino - Great Rumbler - 18th May 2005

Regardless, I don't think you'll be dissapointed by the ending.

Kino - OB1 - 18th May 2005

... I dunno, man...

Kino - Great Rumbler - 18th May 2005

I do.

Kino - OB1 - 19th May 2005

I hope you're right.

Kino - Great Rumbler - 19th May 2005

:p

Kino - Curious George - 23rd May 2005

Ah, I saw the first episode of this at my friend's house! Did you know that it is from the man that made Serial Experiments Lain? That is one of my favorite animes. Sorry if this is redundant information! :loopy:

Kino - OB1 - 23rd May 2005

Yeah, I really liked Lain as well. Never did finish it though... :(

Kino - A Black Falcon - 23rd May 2005

No, Kino isn't by the guy who did Lain. Lain is by Yoshitoshi ABe, he made Lain, Haibane Renmei (if you ever see it, get it! Great series!), and the not quite as good Niea_7 (Niea under 7).

Ooh, he did another series...

Kino... hmm... says here, but it's not ABe.

Oh yeah, and watching just part of Lain is pointless... it's a series with a strong series, and definitely the whole thing should be watched. It's actually got a real ending that helps make the whole series make a lot more sense!

Kino - Great Rumbler - 24th May 2005

Yes, Kino's Journey IS by the guy who did Lain. Ryotaru Nakamura directed both series.

Yoshitoshi Abi merely did the character designs for Lain, as well as Haibane Renmei [also did the original idea], Niea_7, and Texhnolyze. Abe had nothing to do with Kino's Journey.

Kino - A Black Falcon - 24th May 2005

Ah, that makes sense...

Kino - Great Rumbler - 24th May 2005

ABF, you need to watch Kino's Journey so that I can have someone to talk about it with!

Kino - A Black Falcon - 24th May 2005

We should have an anime forum...

Hmm, the OB1-and-ABF forum needs a new subject...

Kino - Great Rumbler - 24th May 2005

We had an anime forum for a while. It didn't work out too well.

Kino - A Black Falcon - 24th May 2005

It was one of the topics in the changing-topic-forum, before it stuck with Star Wars, yeah... but what should we do with that extra forum now?

Kino - Great Rumbler - 24th May 2005

Hmm...I don't really have any ideas at the moment.
