    That's a pretty good read. I must admit that I really enjoy Aonuma's interviews, he seems to be a really nice guy.

    It's my dream to someday learn Japanese and visit NCL so that I can hang out with Miyamoto, Sakamoto, and Aunoma. That would be so awesome.

    Hear the latest from Aunuma? The Revolution isn't necessarially a replacement for Gamecube. Um, why does Nintendo keep saying things like this... it's pretty strange. I'm sure he has some point, but the way they say it it just comes out weird... similar for the DS-GBA.

    Welcome to two weeks ago, ABF. :p

    Yeah that's kind of strange that they'd say that, but they also said that the GC successor would be out no later than the PS3 and XB2 launch, and I doubt they'd release some fourth pillar and the N5 at the same time. I think Nintendo is just saying this because even though the Revolution is the next Nintendo console, it will be so revolutionary that to even call it a GC successor would be blasphemy. Something stupid like that.

    OB1, articles saying that just showed up on IGN and Gamespot a day or two ago, not two weeks...

    I equate this and the "DS won't replace GBA (though I think that one has more validity...)" with their "GC isn't competing with PS2 and X-Box" line. Pure marketing, and stupid marketing at that.

    This news is from before June. It's actually closer to three weeks old. Even Nintendorks reported on it.

    I went to the trouble of "posting" those two "articles" in the expectation that you would "read" them. Obviously you did not. So you made yet another post that is wrong because you didn't pay enough attention.

    Uh, no. Unless Yoshiro Mori is actually Satoru Iwata, and 'some analysts' that Japanese industry paper? I don't think so either. They aren't the exact same news item! Making similar points, sure, but it's not the same news item. Those two were, if you actaully read them, talking about a article in a recent Japanese paper... the Nintendorks article is talking about something else. It's not the same news. It's similar news (and also similar to what Nintendo said at E3 actually), but from a different person at a different time.

    And let's look at their comments.

    Nintendorks reports that NCL says that the Revolution won't replace the GC, and IGN and Gamespot report that NCL says that the Revolution won't replace the GC... you're right, those are totally different news stories. Whatever

    But not exactly the same, and not from the same source. And anyway, as I said earlier, this really is just a restatement with a few new details of what they said at E3.

    They said that they think the Gamecube will still be alive after the Revolution comes out and that they plan on supporting it at that point if that is true. That is new info.

    Had Nintendo stated before that they planned the GameCube to sell alongside to the Revolution? That's news to me. That means they make continue to make GameCube games for a longer time than if they planned the Revolution to replace the GameCube.

    PS: Who fucking cares if the articles aren't that different? Both of you just like to argue with each other. I can imagine each of you sitting with your face inches away from the computer monitor, left-handedly typing pointless insults with the other hand down your pants. GET PORNOGRAPHY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE FOR GOD'S SAKE!
