Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 7th June 2004 From Gamespy. A great read, and I think it's hilarious that he thinks jumping games are scary. :D Oh, and confirmation of Zelda DS. WOO! Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 7th June 2004 That was kind of funny... :) Though I don't see why he dislikes the orignal Zelda. Oh well. Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 7th June 2004 He said he didn't have time to play it. Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 7th June 2004 True, but kind of strange when he likes the rest of the series... Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 7th June 2004 Well, I think being so openly critical of certain Nintendo games is a good thing. He certainly does his job well. Yet another new Aonuma interview - Great Rumbler - 7th June 2004 That's a pretty good read. I must admit that I really enjoy Aonuma's interviews, he seems to be a really nice guy. Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 8th June 2004 It's my dream to someday learn Japanese and visit NCL so that I can hang out with Miyamoto, Sakamoto, and Aunoma. That would be so awesome. Yet another new Aonuma interview - big guy - 11th June 2004 nah, man, it'd be bojacksome! Yet another new Aonuma interview - Great Rumbler - 12th June 2004 YOU KNOW IT!!! Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 14th June 2004 Bo yeah! Yet another new Aonuma interview - Great Rumbler - 14th June 2004 Bojacksomeocitynessingspazstic!! Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 15th June 2004 yay Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 15th June 2004 Hear the latest from Aunuma? The Revolution isn't necessarially a replacement for Gamecube. Um, why does Nintendo keep saying things like this... it's pretty strange. I'm sure he has some point, but the way they say it it just comes out weird... similar for the DS-GBA. Yet another new Aonuma interview - Dark Jaguar - 15th June 2004 What is it then? I FELL FOR IT AGAIN! Marketting guys: Ya know, all we need to do is just say we have something amazing they've never seen before and release a console with a bird feeder on it and people by then will have already preordered it! Gabo! Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 15th June 2004 Welcome to two weeks ago, ABF. :p Yeah that's kind of strange that they'd say that, but they also said that the GC successor would be out no later than the PS3 and XB2 launch, and I doubt they'd release some fourth pillar and the N5 at the same time. I think Nintendo is just saying this because even though the Revolution is the next Nintendo console, it will be so revolutionary that to even call it a GC successor would be blasphemy. Something stupid like that. Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 15th June 2004 OB1, articles saying that just showed up on IGN and Gamespot a day or two ago, not two weeks... I equate this and the "DS won't replace GBA (though I think that one has more validity...)" with their "GC isn't competing with PS2 and X-Box" line. Pure marketing, and stupid marketing at that. Yet another new Aonuma interview - alien space marine - 15th June 2004 A gamecube is as big as a Toaster! Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 16th June 2004 A Black Falcon Wrote:OB1, articles saying that just showed up on IGN and Gamespot a day or two ago, not two weeks... This news is from before June. It's actually closer to three weeks old. Even Nintendorks reported on it. Quote:May 28, 2004 Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 16th June 2004 These articles. Both are from the 14th, two days ago now. :) http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/06/14/news_6100639.html Quote:Revolution not replacing GameCube? http://cube.ign.com/articles/523/523311p1.html Quote:Nintendo Plans Long-Term GCN Support Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 16th June 2004 They were three weeks late. It's really sad that Nintendorks reported this three weeks before Gamespot and IGN did. Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 16th June 2004 I went to the trouble of "posting" those two "articles" in the expectation that you would "read" them. Obviously you did not. So you made yet another post that is wrong because you didn't pay enough attention. Uh, no. Unless Yoshiro Mori is actually Satoru Iwata, and 'some analysts' that Japanese industry paper? I don't think so either. They aren't the exact same news item! Making similar points, sure, but it's not the same news item. Those two were, if you actaully read them, talking about a article in a recent Japanese paper... the Nintendorks article is talking about something else. It's not the same news. It's similar news (and also similar to what Nintendo said at E3 actually), but from a different person at a different time. And let's look at their comments. Quote:The Big N has stated that the "Revolution" will not be a successor to the GameCube. As Nintendo Senior Managing Director Extraordinaire Yoshiro Mori told some analysts recently, "This won't be a continuation, but rather something entirely different." vs. Quote:"A 'successor' is really just an issue about wording. Whether the Revolution is or isn't the successor to the GameCube isn't too important, but we can't say anything about that subject today," stated Iwata during the press conference. and Quote:Commenting in the Yomiuri Shimbun, one of the leading Japanese newspapers, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said he expects GameCube to sell alongside "Revolution" for quite some time, anticipating a success similar to what Sony saw with the PSone during the PlayStation 2's ascent. Yeah, this is exactly the same news story. ![]() Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 16th June 2004 ![]() Nintendorks reports that NCL says that the Revolution won't replace the GC, and IGN and Gamespot report that NCL says that the Revolution won't replace the GC... you're right, those are totally different news stories. ![]() Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 16th June 2004 Did you even read two words of that post? Do so, then think over what you are saying again... Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 16th June 2004 Yes, and they state basically the same thing. Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 16th June 2004 But not exactly the same, and not from the same source. And anyway, as I said earlier, this really is just a restatement with a few new details of what they said at E3. Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 16th June 2004 No, it's a restatement of what they said three weeks ago. Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 16th June 2004 with a few more words. Yet another new Aonuma interview - Great Rumbler - 16th June 2004 But basically the same. Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 16th June 2004 It's the same damn info. ABF: But they said if instead of the!! It's TOTALLY different!!! Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 16th June 2004 They said that they think the Gamecube will still be alive after the Revolution comes out and that they plan on supporting it at that point if that is true. That is new info. Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 16th June 2004 No it isn't! Nintendo always says crap like that. Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 16th June 2004 I know, but I was making the point that this isn't exactly the same news. It's a different person a different day saying something similar. :) Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 17th June 2004 It's the same damn news and you know it. Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 17th June 2004 It's not and you know it. :) Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 17th June 2004 Please then, by all means, explain to us just how amazingly different the two articles are, other than the fact that different people said the same thing. Go ahead. Yet another new Aonuma interview - Sacred Jellybean - 17th June 2004 Had Nintendo stated before that they planned the GameCube to sell alongside to the Revolution? That's news to me. That means they make continue to make GameCube games for a longer time than if they planned the Revolution to replace the GameCube. PS: Who fucking cares if the articles aren't that different? Both of you just like to argue with each other. I can imagine each of you sitting with your face inches away from the computer monitor, left-handedly typing pointless insults with the other hand down your pants. GET PORNOGRAPHY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE FOR GOD'S SAKE! ;) Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 17th June 2004 Hey it's ABF who turned it into a big deal... Nintendo's been saying that they'll continue to support the GC alongside the next system for over a year now. Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 17th June 2004 I don't remember them saying it before... not like this... Yet another new Aonuma interview - OB1 - 17th June 2004 It's been said plenty of times, and we all skoffed at it. Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 17th June 2004 If you say so... but the scoffing at it part is right. :) Yet another new Aonuma interview - Great Rumbler - 5th July 2004 Nintendo says some weird things sometimes. Yet another new Aonuma interview - A Black Falcon - 12th July 2004 And unfortunately it can't all be attributed to translation error... though that is an issue sometimes. |
