It's a few days old, but why not post it anyway, it's not like much is going on here...

Quote:Nintendo bundles Zelda: Four Swords up

Two Zelda games--Legend of Zelda: Four Swords and The Legend of Zelda: Tetra's Trackers--will now be released as a single title, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus.

TOKYO--In the latest edition of Nintendo Dream magazine, Nintendo revealed that it will be releasing The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords and The Legend of Zelda: Tetra's Trackers together on a single disc. The disc, which will be named The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus, will also contain a new game called The Legend of Zelda: Shadow Battle.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords was announced at E3 as one of the two Zelda titles that will take advantage of the GameCube's connectivity with the GBA. Now called The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Adventure, the game uses the TV as the field map, and the GBA display as the action screen when walking into buildings or caves. For players without a GBA, the in-field view will be displayed on a separate window on the TV screen. Up to four players can participate in Hyrule Adventure.

The Legend of Zelda: Tetra's Trackers was the second E3-announced title with GC/GBA connectivity. Now renamed The Legend of Zelda: Navi Trackers, the game will feature a speech navigation system that talks, advising to the player during mini-games such as a stamp rally or bingo. By typing in the player's name before starting out, the speech engine will call the player by name during the game.

The Legend of Zelda: Shadow Battle is a battle-royale survival game, where four different versions of Link will fight each other to the finish. The stages will include a number of tricks that can be used to strategically defeat opponents in the game.

Since the Zelda series has traditionally been a single-player game, the games will also have extensive solo modes. For example, Hyrule Adventure comes with its own storyline, and Navi Trackers will pit a Tingle on a balloon against the player.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus is slated for a February release in Japan.

I've actually gotten a little more interested in this with the mysterious changes and the fact that they are bundling the games together. Four Sword sounds like it's going to be a heck of a lot of fun, and I'm a lot more interested in it than I was at E3. The adventure portion of it sounds intriguing; kind of similar to the mysterious RPG mode in Pokemon Colesseum. I'm glad they took Tetra out and replaced her with Navi. Although I don't really like either character, Navi will be more recognizable to people who haven't played Wind Waker, and she was made to be annoying in the first place so she'll fit into the game perfectly. I'm still not too psyched about Navi's Trackers, but I don't know all that much about it either. I am really intrigued by the Shadow Battle, though, mostly because we know absolutely nothing about it. I wonder if it will be in anyway similar to the battle in Ocarina of Time with Link's shadow.

Yeah, with this it defintely is sounding a lot more interesting... FS Cube looked okay before, but this sounds much better. "Extensive single player modes"? A way for someone without a GBA to play Hyrule Adventure? And three games in one package? Sounds great!

I already reported this here. The only new news is that it's now called Navi's Trackers instead of Tetra's Trackers.

    Well that's news.

And anyway, if you read this article you'll see that it goes into much greater detail about what is actually in the games.

Dark Link in OOT? Pfft. Shadow Link in Zelda 2 was MUCH cooler!

Warp Pipe support would be the selling point for me here...

Hmm... good question, will it be a LAN game? I doubt it... :(

No, I don't think we'll ever see a GBA connectivity game with LAN support on the 'cube.

It was basically the same report as before!

Oh and I don't know if you reported on this yet (I'm too lazy to read your post), but you won't need a GBA to play the multiplayer modes.

This is new info, OB1... read it.

Oh, and I would have put it in your thread, but it'd been so long since anyone had posted there that I forgot there was one...

Yeah, this is much better than selling them all seperately. In fact, I probably wouldn't have bought any of them if they had.

Yeah, I very much doubt I would have either, given how none of them appear to really be full games...
