I guess this is to start us off. IGN gives Wario World a 7.1, which is pretty decent. I was never impressed by any of the E3 showings, although I assumed it would be a bit longer than 5 hours.

5 hours is short... if its actually 5 hours, like 'thats so short' 5 hours... but if its hard and it'll take you more than that actually or its got replay value and is fun that's okay...

You know, you could have linked the review.

Too bad there's no multiplayer mode.

The game would be been perfect with a co-op mode, and it would have added lots of replay value.

Maybe it would have been cool, and since its Treasure you could maybe expect it...

But its a Mario-ish platformer. And no Mario platformer/action game has ever had (simultaneous) multiplay... so I'd hardly expect it now...

Have you seen this game yet? It's definitely not very Mario-like. It's a beat-em-up.

True. But its starring a Mario-universe character and is published by Nintendo. So honestly I never even considered the idea that it'd have multiplayer... first time I thought about it was when I read that review and IGN complained that it wasn't there. :)

Well you need to see more videos of the game. It really needs a co-op mode. The second player could have been Waluigi.

Yes, a co-op mode would be awesome in a game like Wario World.

I'm dissapointed that it got that low of a score, I was expecting around 8 or 8.5. Well, I'll probably get it eventually, but I think I'll wait until the price goes down.

And five hours is pretty short, I hope the gameplay makes up for that.

If this game had a co-op mode and great gameplay, it'd be a must-have, even if it were only 5 hours long.

Sounds akin to Yoshi's Story; too short, (able to be beaten in an afternoon), and largely overrated.

Waluigi...not only does he have the worst, most uninspired name in the Nintendo cast of characters. Not to mention the fact that the only reason he exists is so Mario Party would have an adversary for Luigi.

Yes. I've never played a game with him in it...

Oh, and Gamespot gives it a 6.4.

I wonder if they worked on it at all in the last year and a half. It was about 5 hours long at E3 two years ago. And what they showed was pretty complete.

But who cares! Now you can listen to Mario and Wario talk to Radio U on
The R!OT. Go to radiou.com and look for the interview on the front page. If it's not there anymore, it will be in The R!OT archives. They also interviewed the Homestar Runner crew a couple times, if you are into that. They are playing good music right now too: new Sky Harbor, Further Seems Forever, Dogwood, and Grits.

I'm going to have to agree with Weltall on Wario Ware. I just got it yesterday and incredible is just the right word. It defines pick up and play gaming.

Yeah, given how long they were working on it Wario World is somewhat dissapointing... Wario Ware, on the other hand, of course, is really great.
