I use it too OB1. Using a smug control over your victim, pretending to know everything he does, pretending nothing surprises you...installing a fake sense of inferiority in the victim. Christians do it too, to impose people to "believe or burn."

Exactly! What should we do, spend 10 pages saying how great something we agree on is? That would be stupid...
And DJ, you can dislike arguing all you want (and you very clearly do), but saying that its BAD to defend your positions?
Oh, and OB1... I don't change my mind much at all, sure. But one thing seems to be true -- I don't argue in the same "you are wrong on everything forever" thing like you... since you get lots of people mad at you about your arguing style ("I am NEVER wrong, and you are!") and I don't seem to. That DOES say something.
