Ahhh, interesting. Light is a pretty amazing thing. That would be cool to see. I had no idea that so much work went into just lighting for movies. I just thought they threw in a couple bright lights at certain points for effect. Doh.
I wonder if I can make it happen in CG. The OpenGL lighting is not real physics based lighting, it's just a quick and dirty hack (but only quick and dirty compared to the real deal :)). It looks pretty good and tends to act right, even though it's not based on physics models (because that would be too hard). So I wonder if it would work the same...
