I spent a few minutes contemplating this deep mystery. Even though color we see on things is actually the complement of it's color, light itself is still colored. Or is this a computer graphics lighting thing? I'm trying to think through that, and it may be what you mean. When you are calculating the intensity of an object, you sum the total intenisty of light on it. But that would be the same as starting at full intensity and subtracting the complements of the intensities. Is that right?
Or maybe the turkey hotdogs and overwhelming stench from not showering have twisted your mind and this is just the consequence. :D
