You have a point with this. But a normal FPS and Zelda just FEEL very, very different. A big part is, I'm sure, the perspective... games play different from third person (than first) even when the controls are the same. Just play any of the Jedi Knight games to get THAT proven. Even though they have identical controls, first and third person seem pretty different. Prime has a first-person viewpoint so in many ways it feels more like a FPS despite the fact that like Zelda you have to lock on to strafe and shoot aiming at a target... (PC FPSes generally of course do not have lockon or aiming like that)
