It was interesting and different. The other dungeons in the game were short, simple, and very easy (and thus kind of boring), so it's really the Temple of the Sea King that makes the game... without it the game would definitely be worse, I'd say. The timing and stealth elements work fine.
I thought that it was a perfectly fine dungeon. I can think of a lot of Zelda dungeons I liked less...
