Blizzard's web site has a slogan for Starcraft 2.
"Hell, it's about time."
I love that they have a sense of humor about it.
Ya know, learning recently that Blizzard blatantly "was inspired by" Warhammer for BOTH of it's RTS franchises, I wonder if they will go the next step and make Starcraft Warcraft's future? The protoss look like maybe they could be hyper evolved Dranaei. Just no "space orks". That's retarded in every way.
You actually share my concerns ABF. I'd like the sort of drastic change that Starcraft was from WC2 (for the first time, the 3 races are actually fundamentally different from each other instead of little more than alternate spells in their sprite swapped spell caster equivilants), and what WC3 was from Starcraft (hero units, which everyone has ripped off with adandon).
In fact, I wonder if this will have said "hero units" or if they are going in a bit of a different direction. Lots of RTS games these days represent a unit and it's health with a party of units instead of a single guy, so you click on regiments instead of individuals, thus giving a sense of a grander scale of battle. Are they doing that with this? It's hard to tell. Clearly not for ALL units, but maybe with zerglings and terran marines?
