Multiple sources aren't proper evidence unless the sources themselves are valid.

The Enquirer is highly reputed though, that should be enough. Of course, if something seems off, if the data seems to have no source or there's some logical flaw or too many assumptions...

Basically I'm saying use good judgement and don't believe everything you read. Still, sounds like there's enough reason to at least check into things.
