The difference is very clear to me. Yoshi DS looks good, but it no longer looks like it was done with colored pencils like Island does. It lacks the visual richness, texture, and vibrancy of Island. Yoshi's Island is probably the most beautiful 2D game ever made.

I just hope that Intelligent Systems will make a proper 2D Metroid game for the sytem.
