Hope you don't mind but I disabled smilies in your post just to make two parts more readable.

Anyway, I've always thought of frame rate stuff as subjective anyway. The details given here, the whole idea that parts that clearly aren't due to frame rate issues being misconstrued as frame rate issues does give some insight in why IGN is always talking of frame rate problems.
