It's using a universal memory stick, which means funnily enough that unless Nintendo puts some protection or block out method on the DS it's up to the developer which brand and size they use which could very well mean that one of Sony's memory sticks ends up in your nintendo DS.
On another note, even if one doesn't end up in your DS Sony's continued interest in developing better memory technologies means that Nintendo's memory stick or card of choice will drop in price to compete, either way it's a win-win for us and Nintendo.
