Many immigrants DO learn English before they come here. Look at lazy's own wife, she speaks absolutely perfect English (though I get to teach her new words sometimes), even though she never stepped foot in America until 2001.

Plus, it's the liberal stance to call us anti-immigration, and that's not it in the least. I'm anti-ILLEGAL immigration! Legal immigrants come to America, file the papers, get a social security number, and become taxpayers. Many of the Mexican Flood do not. It's not a matter of racial purity, and even the annoyance at their refusal to integrate isn't the core concern, it's the fact that they do not legally belong here, and worse, they siphon tax money, getting all sorts of benefits from the government, and do not pay taxes in return. If they would immigrate legally, there would be far less concern over them.
