The reason I liked GE better than PD was because GE was a much simpler game, and was less like PC FPSers. Goldeneye was the game to play my freshman year of college, and even people who had never played the game before got into it. PD wasn't like that. I enjoyed PD, but no one really enjoyed it enough to play multiplayer. However, I didn't really enjoy the multiplayer much when people did play it with me because it felt like I was playing a PC FPS. You died a few seconds after first getting shot in the game. There were no "straffing battles" in PD. Had I rented PD before I bought it I probably wouldn't have ended up buying the game. The only reason I bought it was because it was the successor to GE and I thought I'd enjoy it.
