Yes, it makes no sense whatsoever. At least when EGM did their top 100 lists they decided on choosing 100 games that all of them would play for the rest of their lives if they were all stranded on a deserted island. Games that have near infinite replay value, ones that have only gotten better with age. The first time they made the list Tetris got the no.1 spot, but the second time they did it Super Metroid won. They followed one rule and one rule only. Personally, if I had to choose one game to play for the rest of my life it would probably be tetris. Even though I like several games more than Tetris, it is the most simple and replayable game ever made.
