lazy, I get where you are coming from and agree on most of that, but let's not delude ourselves into thinking that there was some golden age where garbage was never made. 90% of everything sucks. Remember the glut of ridiculously stupid "monster movies", or the racist propaganda trash, or heck, just Santa vs The Martians? There's always been garbage. The big difference is they have a lot nicer wrapping to hide it in.
Same with books. Some of it lasts the ages, but some of it just gets found and posted for everyone to laugh at.
Oh, and the same goes for games. The Angry Video Game Nerd reminds us all of that.
I still say the biggest flaw of T4 was completely ignoring the plot of T2 to say "you're good because you have a human heart, and robots can't do that, because they aren't humans like us, we humas are awesome". Gee thanks for completely forgetting that best friend you CRIED over while he frickin' DIED FOR YOUR SINS. Jerk.
