And sure they aren't as high poly as possible but I just like Blizz's art style. I think its great...

And I said the Warcraft III characters look cartoony, but the WoW ones look slightly less so... though they are still quite certainly in a cartoonish style. Maybe a little less than Fable, but not significantly I'd say...

You know I gotta say, I'm sure the game will be great as far as MMORPG's go, but those graphics are pretty crappy for such a new PC game. The only reason I can think of for such sub par graphics is that Blizzard wants just about anyone to be able to run the game on their system, even those with PII'2 and Voodoo 3's. At first I thought that the low poly count was because they wanted to be able to have incredible draw distances, but that doesn't seem to be the case with those screens. Very puzzling.

I would say that there is not a higher polycount because it is complely unnecessary. The game is looking really good as it is... why push and make it harder for an average computer to run when the game can look this great like it is? The graphical styles of WC3 and WoW are great... very stylish, unique... with a very good unrealistic look.

The draw distance is really bad? How so? None of these shots are actually what you'd be seeing ingame (no interfaces...)... and as for polycount, Blizz's great texturing more than makes up for that.

The textures are decent and the style is good, but I wouldn't call the graphics "awesome".

The game as a whole (not just graphics) certainly looks awesome. Its the only MMORPG I can think of that I'd actually consider paying for if I had/have the money when it finally comes out...

It's like Morrowind with more vibrant textures and a slightly better draw distance. And Morrowind looks like crap.
Compared to Everquest 2 WoWC looks really bad. Although compared to Galaxies it's competent. Galaxies is ugly but the draw distance is pretty incredible.

Its got really great architecture (the whole look of the world is just so cool... not necessarially in poly-count but in style! Its got so much style... 'cartoonish' isn't completely accurate, but its the best I can do. I can't think of a better definition of the look of WC3 and WoW... except 'really cool', that is. :D)
I just love Blizz's graphical style in WC3/WoW. I think it looks great... great character designs, very cool world... it manages to be serious while also being unrealistic and 'funny'. :)
