Why does this forum take so damn long to load? I'd probably come here more if I could get to threads without having to sit through a minute of loading every page.
3D Dot Heroes is a Zelda clone with a really, really awesome graphical style... watch the video and see for yourself. So cool... :) It's not out yet and has been announced for Japan only for now, but hopefully there'll be a US release, it's quite possible.
Awesome stuff, really. :) Oh, there is a character editor, so you can draw whatever main character you want, evidently, out of those 3d 'dots'... nice feature.
Looking at the video it's a blatant classic Zelda clone, but hey, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Zelda hasn't been cloned enough, really. :) And the game clearly has some new stuff in it as well...

Monster Hunter Tri and some other games are starting to give us Friendcode-less online! How? It's thier own servers. Because Nintendo's servers aren't being used, the game doesn't have to follow Nintendo's online rules. Monster Hunter will be using wiispeak as well and a headset peripheral is being tossed around in the rumormill. What remains to be seen is if these specific games will want a fee.
In Japan, people are buying wiipoints to play Monsterhunter online, but the dev said "Based on how the western market is, we think that would be a mistake and may release the game to western audiences without additional fees."
Meet a person, add a person, talk to people, play online, no friendcodes and all free?
