Monster Hunter Tri and some other games are starting to give us Friendcode-less online! How? It's thier own servers. Because Nintendo's servers aren't being used, the game doesn't have to follow Nintendo's online rules. Monster Hunter will be using wiispeak as well and a headset peripheral is being tossed around in the rumormill. What remains to be seen is if these specific games will want a fee.
In Japan, people are buying wiipoints to play Monsterhunter online, but the dev said "Based on how the western market is, we think that would be a mistake and may release the game to western audiences without additional fees."
Meet a person, add a person, talk to people, play online, no friendcodes and all free?
Microsoft’s Major R&D announcement this week was just so staggering to me as to think that anyone would sink money into this.
Microsoft has created a digital camera that is worn around the neck with a lanyard. The camera automatically takes pictures when it senses that it has moved. The camera can then automatically store thousands of these images in its internal memory.
But here's where it goes horribly wrong...
The camera is designed and marketed for people with Alzheimer’s (hence the automatic picture taking) so they can later post the pictures on their blogs!!
So let me get this strait, because I've known how debilitating Alzheimer’s is, my whole family had it, all my grandparents died from it, it’s horrible. Microsoft expects me to believe that if I had Alzheimer’s and I woke up, didn't know where I was, or how to dress myself, what my name is, why I'm in a strange place, and finally why there is a strange camera around my neck with thousands pictures of me in it that I didn't remember taking. My first thought is supposed to be, holy cow... I need to post these on my BLOG!!
Thank you Microsoft, you just gave me the cry out loud funny that that will get me through the rest of the day....
Even as I write this I still can't stop laughing.
Well good luck Microsoft, It must be nice to have enough money to completely though away on a project like that. Hay why you’re at it, I need a 2009 VW Beatle that can fly me to the moon this Christmas... You can swing that right?
