Tendo City XI: An actual new forum style after how many goddamn years
    Posted by: Weltall - 5th February 2011, 8:51 AM - Forum: Ramble City - Replies (9)

You'll find it in your list below. Certainly, you guys know how to work that by now.

I didn't create this one from scratch, I merely customized an existing theme. My skills hit a glass ceiling long ago. I still wanted something more modern than, say, 2004 to be on the forum for a change, because every theme we have looks ridiculously dated.

Anyway, have a use and feed me back.

      No Sleep Breeds Dumb Videos
    Posted by: etoven - 2nd February 2011, 10:02 PM - Forum: Ramble City - Replies (2)

So after not going to bed for three days.. I decided to create a short film.. The result is the worlds stupidest video.

I thought I would post it here in the hopes that no one would make a video like this again when they are this sleep deprived. :)

And yes, DJ I'm using my Video Player.. I'm certainly not going to post it on YouTube

      Fire the skin gun!
    Posted by: Dark Jaguar - 2nd February 2011, 2:31 PM - Forum: Ramble City - Replies (2)

This is absolutely amazing. They've found a way to isolate stem cells from a person's skin and apply them with a modified spray gun to massively reduce healing time for severe burns (and likely other things, I'm thinking necrotic tissue from brown recluse spider bites). How reduced? Try from months down to a couple of days.

Warning: This video has some really disturbing scenes of severe burns in it. However it is useful to show just how dramatically it sped up healing from those injuries. Mind the rather silly use of camera angles, music, and "mug shots"...

      Nintendo Week is great
Posted by: A Black Falcon - 31st January 2011, 11:56 PM - Forum: Tendo City - No Replies

(Nintendo's weekly promo show, on Nintendo Channel on the Wii and maybe also online somewhere?)

Seriously, for a in-house promo show, it's just hilarious sometimes... they know it's stupid and go with it, and the results are pretty good sometimes.

I mean, the whole character of Dark Gary... Lol

Kirby GC/Wii is apparently back again, other Nintendo conference announcements
    Posted by: A Black Falcon - 28th January 2011, 3:40 AM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (3)

Yeah, the Kirby game HAL's been working on, or on and off, or starting and restarting, no one knows, for like five or seven years now seems to be back on again... and with a trailer, too!

It's pretty low definition, but it does look good.

    http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/library/eve...oundData=1

    Here's the Kirby GC trailer, from years back: <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/yy2l5BSBSL0" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe>

Translated on GAF, also from today's conference:

Quote:Last year we released Kirby's epic yarn in America. However a new mainstream product featuring the swallow and spiting changing shapes kirby we've made folks wait a long time for. We are now developing a new Kirby made by Hal laboratories. please look at this movie, we are planning to release it this year.

      PSP2 Announced
    Posted by: A Black Falcon - 27th January 2011, 12:46 AM - Forum: Tendo City - Replies (2)

What we don't know -- Release date (sometime within the next year), price (no idea, but it will be high), and battery life (how low will it be?).

Looks high end for a handheld, very high end, but it'll be quite expensive unless Sony takes a huge hit on every sale, and it'll come out quite a while after the 3DS too. I wonder how it'll do, at a high price... well in Japan for sure, both handhelds will do well there, but elsewhere... I don't know. There certainly is more competition now for both of them from phones and such, and the 3DS is looking very strong. Still though like the first PSP I'm sure it'll probably do decently, at least because of the likely strong Japanese game support to come (unless the 3DS destroys it there or something, but if it's anything like this generation both will likely do well, even if Nintendo stays in first as I'd probably guess will happen). At least it isn't download only like the PSPgo or some PSP2 rumors!
