Most of us read that back when you wrote it the first time though... I won't read it all again now. WAY too long. :)

Thesis? How about a novel?
I know, but OB1 asked me for it again, so I said I'd find it, and I finally did.
I don't buy it that the Oracle games take place in an "alternate universe". That's just too cheap and I hate it when writers do that. I'd rather find a place for it in the actual Zelda timeline.

When are you going to revise your post?
But the story is pretty much 'Link is in Hyrule and goes to the Triforce and it teleports him to another world'... a bit ... vauge ... I'd say. :)
It just doesn't fit any other way without a lot of force, and contradiction of other Zelda game stories. I also consider Four Swords to take place in an alternate world. The same one in fact. I call it the "Capcom universe", just because. It's the only logical explanation. Yeah, I would much rather prefer it if they fit into the existing universe, like the rest of them, but I won't force it to fit just because. That would be as fruitless as forcing the Snake Tales in MGS2S to fit into the main universe. Those even contradict each other, so the only way to interpret them is as several alternate realities. Yes, that IS a very cheap thing. Yes, I WOULD have rather they had what I thought those tales would be, what Snake was actually doing in the MAIN reality while Raiden was roaming around, but we got that and have to accept it. The tales are still good though, as are the Oracle games (which at least have the good decency to be in the SAME alternate reality). I mean, Twinrova is DEAD. That's what halos MEAN.

Well ABF, the Triforce didn't send him to other WORLDS, just other countries in that same alternate world. That's proven by how other normal folks are travelling between them, and how Zelda had to journey to them. All those other people would have to find some magical portal, and if they had one, why would Link have to use the Triforce to go himself? Same effect though. It just works out a lot better as an alternate story. I mean, Grunty's Revenge is also an alternate story but it doesn't suck.

I'll revise it after I've thought through what I'll be revising. Now, lemme find some catnip...
I updated my thingy. Read it and call me an idiot now. :D
Know about this site? Its got ... quite a lot ... of stuff about their idea of the history of Zelda. :)
