Yes, I loved Oni. It was great fun running around beating people up... I wouldn't know about the PS2 version of course, but it controls quite well with mouse and keyboard.
Sure, the environments are a bit repetitive and yes, lots of the furnishings are similar... but the levels are quite large and the level design is good if you ignore the fact that lots of the things in them are the same.
As I said before, all I wish it had (other than some way of making the gun-based combat more fun, but oh well... its not that its BAD, its that the hand-to-hand is just cooler...) is save-anywhere. Save points get irritating. But I did beat the game (on easy), so oh well...
Oh, and I thought it had a pretty good story for a action game. And I think the graphical look of the characters and the level designs themselves were good.
Or if you want a 3d weapons-based action platformer, it'd be hard to go wrong with MDK2. That game was pretty good... except for the parts with the extremely frusterating platform jumping. :)
