Yeah, the rise of the far right in Europe continues, sadly -- in addition to Italy, Sweden also elected a very far-right party recently. Some people like to act like Europe is so amazingly enlightened and superior to America, but look at the kind of people winning elections in a whole lot of European countries and you see just how wrong that is. I'm not going to say how much better we are, Trump did win once after all, but Europe has absolutely no legs to stand on when they criticize that, not with how they keep electing extremists with incredibly bad records!
But don't worry, the woman who won in Italy said how normal and centrist she is to win, never mind how her party is neo-fascist or that she started out office by saying some awful things. (There is one good thing about her, though: she supports Ukraine.)
