This game is a 30-plus hour remake of the first six hours of Final Fantasy 7, with 20-plus hours of padding added to the original game. It is also, as DJ says, apparently not really a remake as we know them, but an alternate-universe retelling of the story, with hints that certain characters know about how things went the first time. As much as I have never really cared much about FFVII (I have only played an hour or two of the game, though I did watch that movie... Advent Children, right.) it obviously is one of the most famous games around so I know enough of the core points to do. But anyway, the concept of an alternate-universe remake? That's interesting, in theory. I doubt I'd care enough about it to stay interested through what is looking to be a very long series, though -- this first part took five years to finally release and covers six hours of a long game. At this rate it will take many decades to finish the whole FFVII story, especially if they expand it all out this much... I would say that I wonder what they do next with this theoretically interesting, if very Nomura-like-overcomplex, twist on the plot, and I kind of do and kind of don't, but as much I wonder how long it will take to release. :P
