True, though Conker isn't exactly a collect-a-thon. It's more of a linear experience. I need to get around to beating it myself at some point. I'm actually stuck, like Zelda stuck, in that I have no idea where the game expects me to go.
I do understand your complaints about DK64. It may have been better if coins and bananas, at least, could be picked up by anyone. Being able to switch characters on the fly would have been a good compromise too. I accepted what I was given and enjoyed the experience, but I can see why people might call it tedious.
