Legends of Localization has been a fun site I've been visiting as of late, tackling all sorts of bizarre old school translations.
Recently, Mato (the person who runs the site) has found places online full of fans of the AVGN, only they're Japanese fans. Part of me wonders exactly what Japanese translations of the AVGN they're seeing, considering that a literal translation of some of his rants would probably come across as "I'd rather eat poop, I'd rather eat poop from a butt, I'd rather eat poop and also poop" considering the nature of similes and how well they normally translate.
The bizarre thing is Mato translated the Japanese fan's comments on these AVGN videos (which Mato also takes the time to look into differences between US and Japanese versions of games the Nerd has reviewed).
Also, not only do they know of the Angry Nerd, they know of the Happy Nerd too.
