The environments look lovely. I know that they're only demonstrating the environments right now, but the controllable characters in the party look barely different from one another at the moment. Hate to say it, but they're looking pretty generic right now, especially compared to what little I've seen of the character design in Numenera.
They should go with the silhouette rule when we're this far from them. Everyone should have a silhouette that's instantly identifiable as that character and that character alone.

Project Eternity's character art has never been that great... it started out very average. They've improved it since then, but still, I wouldn't be surprised if the environments end up looking better than the characters... but wow, do those environments look great!
