I was wondering 'is that just the re-release cart?' since the Sunsoft name on the label makes it clear that's the late '90s re-release of the game, but looking it up, nope. FFL3's cart looks like that, the only thing that was changed was replacing Squaresoft with Sunsoft on the side. How odd.
I mean, I'm all for games having less reliance on things that will destroy the ability of people in the future to play that game once the servers get turned off, since games should continue to exist and not only be something people can play for a short time, but... do PC games have LAN support in them much at all anymore? I don't like it either but walled-gardens-only is clearly the way things are now.
