I really don't know what you mean if you're referring to only the original Wii's online store. WiiWare mostly dried up in ~2011, releases-wise, and while there were a few releases in 2012 (including good ones like Vampire Crystals), after the Wii U released it pretty much totally died and there are only like two WiiWare games released after that, both from 2013 (a hunting game and Retro City Rampage). There are plenty of bad WiiWare games, partially because of the ~40MB file size limit, but the WiiWare library isn't that huge because of rules Nintendo had for developers and such so there are only so many.
You must be thinking of the 3DS and Wii U eShops, both of which are, indeed, loaded with terrible games from no-name indie developers. These games are also constantly on sale too, just to try to get people to waste money on them I imagine... but that's just following the way games have gone, with how on the PC Steam in recent years has similarly been inundated with thousands of terrible games.
But yeah, a few new things...

Brain Lord - $30, cart only. I remember seeing a cheap copy of this game ~8-9 years ago and not getting it, but then the price went way up. Now this is a quite fair price for this game, and the game's a quality Zelda-ish action-RPG so I had to get it sometime.
Xbox 360 DD - free from GwG

Army of Two
Also the new X1 GwG title is Zombi, the port of Zombi U on Wii U. I imagine it's worse without the Gamepad screen.
